Added as a Contact 2

Your friendly, local MTU Hunter gets contacted a lot by capsuleers from all over New Eden as he goes about his business. Sending mails, striking-up conversations in local, or joining my chat channel are not the only ways that pilots choose to get my attention, some of them use the more indirect method of adding me as a contact, and attaching a short message to it.

In an earlier post, I showed you some examples of this, and in this post I would now like to go through some more of them with you.

Contact Cameena Dummler

It looks like we’re off to a bad start here with Cameena Dummler. I don’t see how blowing up MTUs can be seen as vandalism, MTUs are trash, and I’m simply taking it out! This also makes being called a litterer all the more perplexing to me, I certainly don’t believe I’m deserving of either of those labels. If anything, I’m a humanitarian.

Contact Marlow Mencia

Thank you very much, Marlow! As we can see from his killboard, he has indeed popped a few MTUs, well done!

Contact Blood Axxis

Not a problem, sir. Here are some handy links to some MTU info, for those who are interested: MTU Hunting 101, MTU FAQ.

Contact Eolian Switch

Thank you Eoilian, and I hope you found the ISK you were looking for. The containers he is talking about are the ones I leave lying around highsec as I hunt for MTUs. More info about that here: Pix Severus was here o/

Contact Levedi

Thank you very much, Levedi! As we can see from his very impressive killboard, he has racked-up quite the respectable amount of MTU kills himself! Congratulations!

That’s all for now. If you ever want to add me as a contact, and attach a little message for me, go right ahead! You might just see it here on the blog in a future episode of this series.

Contact Tuah Vyvorant

It is my pleasure, Tuah. Here is a link to the guide he is speaking of: MTU Hunting 101. I am set to positive standings more often than not, and it is always nice to know that I’m blue to at least some people out there.

Contact Zxcvbnm27740 Uitra

To answer Zxcvbnm27740’s question, here is a link to the blog post I made when I first started my corporation, and here is the current version of my corp’s description:

Empty You Corporation Description

If you wish to discuss my corp further, please do so via EVEmail, private convo, or join the MTU Hunting chat channel.

Contact Kawrsair

I am indeed still out there hunting, and I’m very glad you enjoyed reading this blog, thanks Kawrsair! (Cool name by the way).

Contact General Havock

Thank you very much, General! I’m doing my best to keep the blog updated at the moment, but I do have a habit of taking lengthy breaks from EVE, hopefully I can keep it up a bit longer this time.

Contact Padraig De Faoite

Sir, believe me, the pleasure was all mine. Padraig had accidentally lost tabs on his MTU, but thankfully there is always an MTU hunter around when you need one:

Kill: Padraig De Faoite (Mobile Tractor Unit)

He hasn’t lost a single MTU since, saving himself ISK, and keeping highsec clean, which is great news for everyone!

Contact a190 Tivianne

Oh dear, it isn’t often I get set to red, but here we are. Let us take a look at what caused this sorry state of affairs:

Kill: a190 Tivianne (Mobile Tractor Unit)

You can’t please everyone I guess, although it is interesting to see the contrast between those who will set you blue for popping their MTU, and those who will get upset over it.

There are more of these to come. Unfortunately, it seems that these contact notifications are pruned over time (otherwise a chunk of my older ones disappeared for some other reason) so I have undoubtedly missed a few over the years. If you ever want to add me as a contact, and attach a little message for me, go right ahead! You might just see it here on the blog in a future episode of this series.

Vocal Local 3: Salt Edition

One thing I have noticed during my travels throughout highsec space is just how quiet it is, there could be over 100 people in local, and not a single word is uttered between those players. This makes me sad, so I like to encourage discourse where possible.

Sometimes, however, people aren’t too happy to see an MTU Hunter going about his business.

Local Chat

After popping DiaK Snow’s MTU in an asteroid belt in the system of Sirseshin, he started saying things to me in local.. Russian things. A quick trip to an online translator cleared things up somewhat.

DiaK Snow> Pix Severus here you b**ch , and
DiaK Snow> Pix Severus I’ll zaebis for the tractor, f**king c**ksucker
DiaK Snow> Pix Severus and you c**ksucker , I still find ) ) ) to you all dobrgo ) )

Oh my, it would appear that Mr. Snow was quite upset about the loss of his MTU, I had to try to calm him down.

Local Chat

Surely that would help?

Local Chat

Maybe not, but at least we were speaking the same language now.

Local Chat

It ended quite amicably, then, with Mr. Snow wishing me prosperity, although I do sense a hint of a threat in his parting words to me.

Finding material for this Salt Edition of Vocal Local has been quite difficult, as it seems that most people just do not get upset when I kill their MTUs. Most examples of anger towards me tend to be quite tongue-in-cheek.

I believe it will be many months before I gain enough material for another Salt Edition of Vocal Local. I barely had enough material for this post, perhaps this is a good thing?

One thing I know for certain is that a little salt can definitely add some spice to this game.
